This article deals with the relationships between men and women. Leave this page now if you do not want to hear relationship advice specific to men, and specific to women. Are you still with me? Let’s continue, then.

There is relationship advice for both men or women, however it is irrelevant if one is a man or a woman. You must always remember this:  men and women both have needs in a relationship, but these specific needs may not always be obvious to the opposite sex.  Therefore, you must first learn how the other sex operates. I will explain this further.

In order to have a happy and fulfilling life with your partner, you must understand and appreciate him or her and learn how he or she thinks.  This is the key to any lasting relationship. You’re at an age when you do what feels good in the moment, and you do what you think is best at the time. Even better yet, you may be fortunate enough to be a member of a strong family, with a loving mother and father who are they to help you through thick and thin. And if you are very lucky, you are a member of a family whose members communicate well with each other — and you know you can talk to them and listen to them.

I’ve made my share of relationship mistakes. Sometimes I made the same mistakes twice, sometimes many many times. In my case, I didn’t have the support of a loving mother and father.  There was no one in my life whom I could turn to for advice or direction. I was forced to navigate through life and relationships alone, and I was very unsuccessful. On the flip side, because I had to be so fiercely independent, I learned how to persevere and now have a few accomplishments of which I am quite proud. Choosing your life partner can be the most difficult decision you will ever make.

You may be wondering why an average man like me feels he has a responsibility to offer important relationship advice to you.  My primary motivation is my daughters; I don’t want them to struggle the way I did and enter into relationships with the wrong people. To the two of you, I can only say good luck. My daughters are smarter and more cultured than you, and are generally better than you in about every conceivable way. Because God created men and women with their similarities and their differences, I can only imagine that God has a bigger sense of humor than I thought possible.

Since the beginning of time, men and women have had o deal with each other. And yet, we’re practically two separate species. Everthing about us is different. The way we look, think, act, and sound. Men may be stronger typically, but women are smarter. I can hear the backlash now from all the men who are in disbelief that a woman could be smarter than them.  Well, the fact of the matter is, women have a greater capacity to learn than men. Once you accept this you will be much better off. When was the last time you heard a woman yell about a man being stronger?

You must understand that because I am a man, I tend to look at life’s situations through a man’s eyes. However, I also have two daughters and a deep affection for women, and so I am able to look at life from a female perspective as well. That’s why I believe that women and men need different types of relationship advice if they’re ever going to understand each other and get along. Men and women, though very different, can learn to look at situations through the one another’s eyes and live a very happy and fulfilling life together.
